Today in Western Civilization we learned about Draco which meant that all Athenians were equal under the law but this did not really matter because most crimes were straight death penalty Solons was a key term that basically meant any citizen could press charges for wrong doing. Hippias was a tyrant which is a very powerful man or dictator that is evil he ruled from five twenty seven to five hundred ten BCE His brother was murdered which made Hippias basically freak out and he shunned everyone from existence because his brother was killed and after all of this he was gone. With Hippias gone lsagoras and celisthenes took his place they were now fighting to see who would be the new ruler of Athens lsagoras did win in the begging however this wasn't for long because he was also ostracized from Athens.

Today in Western Civilization we took the test that we would've taken if we voted to take it, to be honest, I wish that we would have taken the test because I only got three question on that test wrong then we started going over the exam. We also learned a little bit more about Martin Luther and how he was a monk who didn't agree with indulgences which are when you pay the priest money to either make yourself go straight to heaven or somebody in your family who has already died it was basically like an insurance policy. Most people believed this, however, Martin Luther was preaching about God will give you salvation and he cant be bribed. So he wrote something called the 95 theses which were 95 ways that the church was wrong and he nailed them to the front of the church door so that everybody could see them. And then at the very end of class, we started reviewing for the exam.
