There was a place called Macedonia and it was located just north of Greece and it had a rough terrain with a very cold climate. In 359 BC Philip became the king of Macedonia, Demosthenes the Athenian orator tried to warn the Greeks of that threat Phillip and his army posed. Alexander The Great was a 20 year old man who became king which is why his name was Alexander the Great because its very rare somebody will become king at the age of twenty. With Greece secure Alexander wanted to carry out his father's plan and conquer Persia and it worked After the defeat Darius the king of Persia tried to negotiate peace Alexander accepted and then a long time after he died and his army still battles and his legacy lives on.
